1. Mark Teixeira - 1B - DBacks
.474/.523/.877 57 AB, 27 H, 6 2B, 1 3B, 5 HR, 13 R, 20 RBI
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Teixeira, though, is that for a power hitter, he seldom strikes out, as evidenced by his 5 whiffs and 7 walks in 57 June at-bats.
2. Miguel Cabrera - 3B - Tigers
.426/.466/.778 54 AB, 23 H, 4 2B, 5 HR, 9 R, 18 RBI
Tigers fans have been more then pleased with Cabrera's performance this year after the tough transition to Detroit. He has 21 Dingers and 80 RBIs still a week away from the All-Star Break.
3. Joba Chamberlain - MR - Yankees
3-0 2.05 ERA, 22 IP, 34 K, 3 BB
Joba has been nothing but stellar this season with a 175\33 K-BB ratio, and continued this week to prove why the move to the rotation was no fluke.
4. Rick Ankiel - RF - Mariners
.436/.448/.818 55 AB, 24 H, 6 2B, 5 HR, 15 R, 10 RBI
Ankiel who was off to a slow start in Seattle, has shown some life in the past 2 weeks raising his BA to .277 and hopes to continue the hot hitting into the 2nd half of the season.
5. Hong-Chih Kuo - SP - Reds
2-0, 1.42 ERA, 19 IP, 32 K, 2 BB
Not known as a strikeout pitcher, Kuo brought his K total to 102 this year by fanning 32 over the past two weeks and only walking an astonishing 2 batters.
6. Scott Kazmir - SP - Yankees
3-0, 1.29 ERA, 21 IP, 15 K, 8 BB
Complimented nicely by Joba Chamberlain, Scott Kazmir has helped the injury stricken Yankees to within 3 of the tough AL East.
7. Erik Bedard - SP - phillies
2-0, 1.02 ERA, 17.2 IP, 17 K, 3 BB
Could make a case for 1st half NL Cy Young, after posting a 2.92 era in the hitter friendly Citizens Bank Ballpark.
8. Nick Swisher - CF - Reds
.391/.472/.826 46 AB, 18 H, 8 2B, 4 HR, 9 R, 9 RBI
The switch hitting Swisher raised his avg. to a nice .300 after swinging the hot stick in the hitter friendly GAP
9. Adrian Beltre - 3B - Nationals
.365/.441/.865 52 AB, 19 H, 8 2B, 6 HR, 9 R, 15 RBI
Hit almost half his season total of Home Runs this past two weeks and hopes to prove he deserved that huge contract.
10. Matt Cain - SP - Reds
3-0 1.89 ERA, 19 IP, 17 K 8 BB
Impressive stats for a flyball pitcher at GAP

Joe Crede-Hitting a weak .163 in 49 ABs with 1 HR
Chris B. Young-.188 in 48 ABs with 13 Ks
Derek Jeter-A rare .190 in 58 ABs
Carlos Silva-6.10 ERA in 20.2 IP giving up 14 ER
Chuck James-8.31 ERA in 13.0 IP giving up 11ER
